Should I sign before uploading?

Documents that need a jurat are signed in front of the electronic notary. Acknowledgments, affirmations, and oaths can be signed beforehand.

As in the 2004 Notarial Rules, electronic documents requiring a jurat must be electronically signed in the presence of the electronic notary public (ENP). They should not be signed before uploading to the electronic notarization facility (ENF).

Acknowledgement, affirmation, and oath can be digitally signed and uploaded in the system prior to notarization.
